Clinical Study

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, conducted on a sample of 70 women with visible signs of skin aging over a period of 13 weeks (May–September 2024) in Madrid, Spain. The results demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in skin elasticity, compared both to baseline values and to the placebo group. After 7 weeks of use, an average increase in skin elasticity of 32.11% was observed, and after 13 weeks, an average increase of 27.75%, as assessed through instrumental measurements using CUTOMETER®.

The research was conducted by a specialized independent laboratory, in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards, during the period February–April 2025, in Valencia, Spain. The results demonstrated a statistically significant increase in collagen levels, with an average increase of 58.2 ± 25.1% in treated fibroblasts compared to the untreated control (p < 0.05). Statistical analysis confirms the stimulating effect of the product on collagen biosynthesis under controlled laboratory conditions. The study conclusions indicate that 21Collagen stimulates collagen synthesis in human fibroblasts, providing additional scientific support for its role in supporting the biological processes involved in maintaining skin structure.

Title
Clinical Study

The present in vitro study aimed to evaluate the stimulating effect of the 21Collagen SPF 25 cream on collagen biosynthesis in normal human fibroblasts, using confocal microscopy as the analytical method. The research was conducted in an independent laboratory specialized in efficacy studies for the cosmetic industry, in accordance with quality standards and Good Laboratory Practices. The results showed that application of the 21Collagen SPF 25 cream at a concentration of 0.001% led to a statistically significant increase in type I collagen levels, with an average increase of +30.8 ± 6.4% compared to untreated cells. This increase indicates a clear stimulatory effect on collagen biosynthesis at the cellular level, observable after only 24 hours of treatment. The study conclusions support that the 21Collagen SPF 25 cream stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis, contributing to the maintenance of skin firmness and structure. These results provide solid scientific support for the use of the product in cosmetic routines aimed at preventing and combating signs of skin aging.

The clinical study aimed to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability, and acceptability of the 21Collagen SPF 25 cream under normal conditions of use. The research was conducted on a sample of 20 female volunteers over a period of 28 days, under dermatological supervision, within a specialized independent laboratory, in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The results demonstrated a statistically significant increase in skin elasticity, with an average value of +14.54 ± 4.38% after 28 days of use compared to baseline values. In addition, a significant reduction in the volume of periocular wrinkles of −11.16 ± 4.65% compared to baseline was observed. Throughout the study, no adverse events or skin reactions were reported, with the product demonstrating a very good tolerability and skin compatibility profile. The study conclusions support that the 21Collagen SPF 25 cream is well tolerated and contributes to the improvement of parameters associated with skin firmness, elasticity, and overall appearance, under controlled conditions of use.

The Collagen Mask

Premium bio-cellulose facial mask, designed forintensive hydrationandvisible skin regeneration.

Date
Title
Clinical Study

The clinical study aimed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and cosmetic efficacy of The Collagen Mask 21Collagen (Marine Origin Collagen Revitalizing Bio Cellulose Mask) under normal conditions of use. The research was conducted in an independent laboratory, under dermatological supervision, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 and the Cosmetics Europe (COLIPA) guidelines. The study was carried out on a sample of 20 female volunteers, aged 35 to 65 years, over a period of 8 weeks, with an application frequency of three times per week. The evaluation included both use tests, based on participants’ self-assessment, and objective instrumental tests, performed using standardized equipment. The results demonstrated that the product was very well tolerated, with no adverse reactions or signs of skin irritation observed. Instrumental measurements showed: an average increase in skin hydration levels of 20%, assessed using the Corneometer® CM 825; an average reduction in melanin levels of 8%, measured with the Mexameter® MX 18; an improvement in skin smoothness of 7%, determined using the Visioscan® VC 98; an average reduction in wrinkle length of 7% and wrinkle depth of 6%, evaluated with the Visioline® VL 650.

The semi-occlusive dermatological study (patch test) aimed to evaluate the skin tolerance and irritant potential of The Collagen Mask 21Collagen (Marine Origin Collagen Revitalizing Bio Cellulose Mask) under controlled conditions. The testing was conducted in a specialized independent laboratory, J.S. Hamilton Poland S.A. (Gdańsk, Poland), in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products and the Cosmetics Europe (COLIPA) guidelines. The study was performed on a sample of 25 healthy volunteers, aged 26 to 59 years, with no known history of allergies. The product was applied to the skin using the patch test method, and skin reactions were dermatologically evaluated at 48, 72, and 96 hours after application, monitoring the occurrence of erythema and edema. The results indicated a complete absence of skin reactions in all tested volunteers, with erythema and edema scores of 0 at all evaluation time points. The calculated mean irritation index (xav) was 0.00, allowing the product to be classified as non-irritating, according to the applied evaluation criteria. The study conclusions demonstrate that The Collagen Mask 21Collagen is very well tolerated at the skin level, without causing irritation or allergic reactions under the tested conditions. The product meets the requirements of the compatibility test for sensitive and atopic skin and can be safely used by individuals without known sensitivity to its ingredients.
